Weekend Shuttle Bus Substitution on Airport Line & Adjustments to Service on Multiple Regional Rail Lines

Saturday and Sunday, June 2 & 3, 2018

Phase II of construction to rebuild the mainline infrastructure on the Media/Elwyn Line between 30th Street and Arsenal Interlocking will take place Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3, 2018.

Schedules and service information are posted at Regional Rail Stations and online via the links and information below. PLEASE NOTE: Train and Shuttle Bus departure times will be different from the regularly scheduled train times.

There will be NO TRAIN SERVICE to/from University City Station. Shuttle buses will provide service between 30th Street and University City Stations.

Airport Line

  • Buses will replace ALL trains between 30th Street Station and Airport Terminals A-F

  • Airport Line Shuttle Buses will NOT service University City Station. Customers should transfer at 30th Street Station for service to University City Station

  • Airport Line Shuttle bus service departure times will be different from the regularly scheduled weekend train schedule


Media/Elwyn Line

  • INBOUND and OUTBOUND weekend trains will operate between Elwyn & 49th St. Stations & Shuttle bus service will replace ALL trains between 49th St. and 30th Street Stations
    • INBOUND (towards Center City): Trains will depart all stations EARLIER than the current schedule. Customers traveling to 30th St. or points beyond will transfer to the Shuttle Bus at 49th St. Station for travel to 30th Street and connections towards Center City
    • OUTBOUND (towards Elwyn): Customers will take the Shuttle Bus from 30th St. to 49th St. and transfer to Media/Elwyn trains for continuing travel towards Elwyn. These Trains will depart LATER than regularly scheduled

  • ALL Train service will begin/end at 49th Street Station. There will be NO Train service to/from University City Station. Shuttle Buses will provide service between 30th Street and University City Stations


Manayunk/Norristown Line

  • ALL Trains will depart LATER than regularly scheduled

  • Train service begins/ends at 30th Street Station

  • There will be NO Train service to/from University City Station. Shuttle Buses will provide service between 30th Street and University City Stations


Warminster Line

  • ALL Trains will operate on the current schedule to 30th Street Station

  • Customers continuing to the Philadelphia Airport will transfer from Trains to Airport Line Shuttle Buses at 30th Street Station

  • There will be NO Train service to/from University City Station. Shuttle Buses will provide service between 30th Street and University City Stations


West Trenton Line

  • ALL Trains will operate on the current schedule to 30th Street Station

  • Customers continuing to the Media/Elwyn Line will transfer from Trains to the Media/Elwyn Line Shuttle Buses at 30th Street Station

  • There will be NO Train service to/from University City Station. Shuttle Buses will provide service between 30th Street and University City Stations


Wilmington/Newark Line

Most Trains will depart LATER and select trains will originate from different stations than noted on the Emergency Schedule in effect due to the freight train derailment and on-going Amtrak track repairs. There will be NO Train service to/from University City Station. Shuttle Buses will provide service between 30th Street and University City Stations.

Late night Shuttle Bus service will still operate according to the Emergency Schedule.
