DVRPC announces its new and improved commuter benefit program — Easy Commute Options. Easy Commute Options, or RideECO, is the only local, non-profit commuter benefit program in this region.

RideECO vouchers and stored value cards can be used to purchase fares on all regional public transit including: SEPTA, PATCO, NJ Transit, DART First State and Amtrak. The RideECO program helps employers reduce the cost of their employee’s commute in three flexible ways:

One Employers can offer RideECO to employees in addition to salary, as part of their benefits package.
Two Employers can allow employees to purchase RideECO benefits through a pre-tax payroll deduction. Employees can set aside up to $130 a month from federal income tax and FICA taxes, saving them hundreds of dollars over the course of the year. And, employers can save on the matching FICA taxes.
