The Philadelphia Flower Show (March 1-9) is always a popular event bringing throngs of horticultural fans to the Pennsylvania Convention Center and our Regional Rail Service. This year we're expecting even more people will want to shake off the winter blues to get a glimpse of spring, so please be prepared for bigger crowds on our already popular Regional Rail trains.
With Market East Station sitting directly below the Convention Center, SEPTA is the ideal travel choice. We realize the extra traffic will bring inconveniences for our regular customers, as people not familiar with our riding rules and regulations board the trains, so we ask for your cooperation to help make the trip pleasant for everyone.
Seats will be at a premium so please remember to put your bag in the overhead rack or keep it in your lap. If you think someone needs to sit more than you do, we'd greatly appreciate if you would offer them your seat. We know that you love the QuietRide car and we'll do our best to keep things from getting too noisy but you should expect to hear conversations in this and every car during the Flower Show run. Our crews will be focused on safety, fare collection, and announcements so please don't get annoyed if there are more than short, hushed conversations going on around you.
SEPTA Ambassadors will be out at Market East to assist new riders but a little common courtesy and a heavy dose of understanding when you see the brigade of potted plant stand bearers heading for your train will make things just a little bit easier to handle. We thank you in advance for your patience and support.
