2019 Philadelphia Flower Show 'Flower Power'

SEPTA Discounted Tickets & Event Information

The 2019 Philadelphia Flower Show returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center Saturday, March 2 through Sunday, March 10, 2019. This year's show, "Flower Power - The Power of Flowers" will pay tribute to the enormous impact of flowers on our lives.

Discounted tickets will be sold at all major Transit Sales Offices and Regional Rail Ticket Offices. Select Regional Rail Ticket Offices and Center City Stations will operate with extended hours during the show (see pricing information and hours below).

SERVICE ADVISORY: Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail Line

Due to an Amtrak concrete tie replacement project, SEPTA will adjust the Wilmington/Newark Line timetable to maintain service levels to/from Center City starting Saturday, March 2, 2019. During construction, select Weekday and Saturday & Sunday trains will operate EARLIER or later than regularly scheduled service. TIP: The One Day and Family Independence Passes offer convenient and economical travel on all SEPTA trains, trolleys and buses.

Fare Options

Independence Pass

The Independence Pass is ideal for individuals or families looking for the independence of convenient, economical travel on SEPTA services (pass valid for 10 trips). Occasional riders, visitors and families can travel on SEPTA to restaurants, shopping, casinos, sporting events and other attractions in the Greater Philadelphia region. More


SEPTA Key

The SEPTA Key Fare Program is a convenient new way to pay to ride on SEPTA. The Key Card is a contactless chip card that can be loaded and reloaded without having to get a new Card.

What Fare Collection Means

All fares are paid at the turnstiles/ADA gates

  • Only prepaid fares (Passes & Tickets) accepted - no cash
    • Customers without a fare must go to the Station Sale Office to purchase a Ticket


What Fare Inspection Means

  • All fares are inspected at the turnstiles/ADA gates - Conductors on the train will collect/punch tickets and inspect passes
    • Only prepaid fares (Passes, Tickets, Round Trip Cash Fare receipt) accepted - no cash
    • Customers without a fare must go to the Station Sale Office to purchase a Ticket


All Other Times

  • All fares paid on board the train
    • Customers can purchase from the Conductor or present their prepaid fare on board the train

Quiet Ride Program

Due to increased Regional Rail ridership during the Flower Show, the Quiet Ride Program will be temporarily suspended as crews will be focused on safety, fare collection, and announcements. SEPTA will also add capacity to select trains to accommodate additional customers.

Senior Citizens

Seniors ages 65 and over from Pennsylvania can ride free on any SEPTA mode, including Regional Rail when traveling to and from any Pennsylvania SEPTA Regional Rail station. Seniors must have a SEPTA Senior Key Card (tapped at turnstiles) or valid Pennsylvania driver's license/non-drive ID card (swiped at turnstiles). Paper Pennsylvania Senior Citizen Transit ID Cards and Medicare Cards are no longer accepted. Seniors from New Jersey and Delaware can ride SEPTA Regional Rail for half-fare if they have a SEPTA Senior Key Card. Regular fares apply for seniors without a Senior Key Card.
