SEPTA Key Turnstiles Now in Service at 30th Street Station

As we begin the introduction of SEPTA Key on Regional Rail, the turnstile roto-arms have been put in place and all fareline entrances, including the ADA gates, have been activated at 30th Street Station as of Monday, July 23.

What You Need to Know

To Enter the Station:

  • ALL fareline turnstiles & ADA gates will be in operation (including platform farelines by the elevators)
    • MONDAY-FRIDAY, 6:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.

  • During these hours ALL fares must be paid at the turnstiles before proceeding to the platform area - CASH NOT ACCEPTED
    • Tickets available for sale at the Station Sales Office

  • Valid SEPTA TrailPass (with magnetic stripe)will be swiped through the reader at the top of the turnstile

  • Customers with Senior and Reduced Fare Key Cards must purchase the appropriate Regional Rail ticket at the Sales Office
    • Present your Key Photo ID Card & Ticket to the Fare Collector

  • Customers with Tickets will present them to the Fare Collection Personnel

  • Look for decals on each turnstile and on the floor indicating the lane to use for SEPTA magnetic stripe Passes, and Tickets

  • Before 6:00 a.m. and after 8:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday) and all day on Saturday and Sunday customers will pay their fare to the Conductor on the train
    • Turnstiles will be set to provide access without swiping

To Exit Station:

  • Use any turnstile, ADA gate, roto-gate to EXIT (no swipe need)
