R8 Chestnut Hill West Line to Undergo Track Maintenance Project

PHILADELPHIA, PA - SEPTA will begin late-night work on a railroad maintenance project along the R8 Chestnut Hill West Line beginning at 11 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6.

The work will take place during the next two weeks (Sunday, Jan. 6 through Thursday, Jan. 10 & Sunday, Jan. 13 through Thursday, Jan. 17) from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. each day.

SEPTA R8 Chestnut Hill West train service will operate as normal during the project although maintenance crews will be working on the drainage system between Allen Lane and Carpenter Lane Stations. The work may result in increased noise levels at times.
