SEPTA, FOTP Reach Tentative Agreement
June 14, 2008
PHILADEPHIA, PA - SEPTA is pleased to announce a tentative contract agreement with the Fraternal Order of Transit Police.
The agreement was reached last evening in the offices of Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter. The mayor, along with Congressman Robert Brady, State Representative Tony Payton and City Councilman Curtis Jones were instrumental in bringing both sides together and producing an agreement.
SEPTA strongly believes this is a fair and equitable agreement that should be approved by the union membership.
It is expected that members of the FOTP will begin returning to their jobs beginning at 7:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14.
