Exton Station and Inter-Modal Improvements (Paoli/Thorndale Regional Rail Line)

Construction Update: As we move into the next phase of construction, customers will see SEPTA forces on site to begin building the new inbound (towards Center City) platform while a SEPTA contractor begins work on rebuilding the ramps and stairs to Walkertown Rd. Customers will be re-routed through the site periodically as work moves along Walkertown Rd. to access the station. New photos are available to view in the slideshow below. Impact to Parking: During construction, parking in the inbound (towards Center City) lot will temporarily be reduced. As an alternate, SEPTA has added 36 spaces at Whitford Station (407 Spackmans Ln., Exton, PA 19380). Customers will also be able to use the newly expanded outbound (towards Thorndale) parking lot, which offers 67 new spaces. As construction progresses, portions of the inbound parking lot will reopen.

SEPTA and Amtrak are partnering to implement overall station improvements to Exton Station. The project improvements will include the construction of high-level boarding platforms, ramps and stairs, a new station building, new canopies, and open air shelters. Upon completion of the improvements, Exton Station will be fully upgraded and ADA compliant. The new high-level platforms will also allow for more efficient operations.
