MSE ADA Contingency Plan

SEPTA has established this contingency plan for customers requiring elevator access to enter or exit the Market-Frankford Line when El shuttle buses are operating in place of regular El service between 69th Street Terminal and 40th Street Station.

Eastbound El Shuttle Service (towards Frankford) Between
69th Street Terminal and 40th Street Station

1. When boarding an El Shuttle, the customer needs to notify the Bus Operator or a Bus Supervisor when traveling beyond the 40th Street El Station.
2. Bus operations personnel will extend an El Shuttle to 30th Street so the customer may access the station elevators and connect to eastbound El train service towards Frankford.
   

Westbound El Shuttle Service (towards 69th Street) Between
40th Street Station and 69th Street Terminal

1. The customer should notify the station cashier when entering the El when traveling beyond 30th Street.
2. The station casher will notify the SEPTA Control Center in order to arrange an El Shuttle to meet the customer at 30th Street.
3. Customers then need to exit at 30th Street for accessible elevators to the El Shuttle at street level.
